A Professional Development Program Built Around One Deliverable
The SCC Academy: Online Strategy & Operations is a seven-month cohort program designed for higher education administrators at small colleges who are responsible for building or leading online learning operations.
The program is built around a single, cumulative deliverable: the Online Learning Strategic Playbook. Every module, every assignment, and every coaching session advances one chapter of that document. Participants leave with a finished, institution-specific strategic plan they can present to leadership, use to guide operations, and act on immediately.
Every assignment builds a chapter of that playbook. Participants leave with a plan their institution owns.

What You Will Build:
The Online Learning Strategic Playbook
Most professional development programs result in notes and certificates. This program results in a finished strategic document built from your own institutional data, reviewed by an expert, and shaped through seven months of applied work with a peer cohort.
Module 1 - Where We Are Now: Institutional readiness assessment across 10 operational domains, with a prioritized gap analysis and strategic intent statement
Module 2 - The Financial Foundation: Multi-year proforma, cost-benefit analysis, phased staffing plan, and executive summary for leadership
Module 3 - How We Will Attract Students: Digital marketing strategy, SEO plan, AI chatbot implementation, stealth applicant response, and metrics framework
Module 4- From Inquiry to First Day of Class: Enrollment funnel documentation, multi-touch communication sequence, re-engagement protocol, and pre-start onboarding plan
Module 5 - Building and Leading the Team: Organizational structure, phased staffing model, 12-month implementation roadmap, and change management narrative
Module 6 - How We Deliver Excellence: SOP frameworks for all four operational areas, course quality standards, faculty development plan, and institutional AI policy
Module 7 - How We Will Know It Is Working: KPI inventory, data dashboard design, continuous improvement cycle, and stakeholder communication plan
What Makes
This Program Different
Build Your Playbook
Every module advances one chapter of your institution's Online Learning Strategic Playbook. By the final session, participants present a finished strategic document built from their own institutional data.
Learn From Peers
The cohort is capped at 15 participants representing a range of titles, institution types, and geographies. Participants consistently find that peer learning across the cohort is as valuable as the curriculum itself.
Work With an Expert
Two individual coaching sessions with Jeremiah Grabowski, PhD are built into the program — one reviewing the financial model and business case, the second reviewing the full operational plan before the final module.
Who This Program Is For
The SCC Academy is designed for administrators at small colleges who are building or scaling online learning operations and need a structured framework to do it well. Ideal applicants hold a current role in academic affairs, enrollment management, online education, instructional technology, or institutional strategy.
This program is a strong fit if your institution:
Is developing a formal online learning strategy for the first time
Has recently exited or is considering exiting an OPM partnership
Offers online programs but lacks documented processes, a financial model, or quality standards
Wants to grow online enrollment and needs a coordinated plan to support that growth
Participants are selected from public and nonprofit institutions, with a range of titles, institution types, and geographies represented in each cohort.

The Value of What You Build
Professional development proposals are easier to approve when leadership can see exactly what the institution is getting. In this program, the answer is concrete: a finished strategic plan for online learning, developed by their own administrator, grounded in their own institutional data. The frameworks, assessments, financial models, and operational plans developed across the seven modules represent work that would cost significantly more to commission through outside consulting. The program fee is $5,000.
